Mr. Nutz Hoppin' Mad (Sound Values 68000 & Z80) Videos

Post by TEOL »

I wouldn't have a clue how to go anywhere futhur into the hacking process to get the hidden tracks like the ending and maybe even the death musics in the sound menu for Mr. Nutz Hoppin' Mad but now I present to you the values in video form so you guys can just hack and log the tunes from these to make it easier for you the experts of hacking to log the missing tunes not in the sound test menu including any unused completelys as well.

What I found funny was the amount of values in both 68000 and Z80 together adds to the exact amount of channels as the 2612 so no specialist multi channel 16 samples in 8 channels trickery here I guess other than 3 channels being in the Z80 and the others being in the 68000 which may count as a bit of trickery unless it's normal for the hacking codes for the music in a game.

I hope the links work on here as I made it Unlisted for normal watchers of videos.

As you can see why I find hacking audio so hard compared to cheats which I find easy it's that all the channels are split on games like this so it's hard to come up with a cheat code to change the final 2 numbers on which works in the sound test which would change the tunes to whatever tune number in hex on the last 2 numbers you type in especially if action replay only works in the single mode of the 68000 when there is 3 channels of Z80 in the tunes.

Hopefully Mr. 2612 Hacking Expert can download the No-Intro version and have a toy around with the numbers in this video. I stopped and started recording so you don't get a headache.

Hopefully we can get a complete set out of these values and an expert making cheats from them.

Don't forget those track lenghs to help you on the trimming. Some of the speeds are different between the versions so some tracks might not be spot on the same but you can work it out by listening to how the AMIGA ends before cutting the ending for the Megadrive.

Hopefully because the music sound test area isn't full in the game these videos are the way forward of getting this most wanted prototype gameset done and dusted.

These hacking points might work with any version but the definative definitely the same code one I did the videos with was called Mr. Nutz Hoppin' Mad (Europe) (Proto).md 1MB from No-Intro.
