Or...you could just cheat like I do. However, I can't seem to optimize it any further than I already have. I also can't seem to find an emulator that can log vgm 1.5. Kega Fusion can only do 1.1.

EDIT: Nevermind. It just seems I'm way behind on the times. I snatched up the newest Gens/GS that can also do patch codes. It doesn't have a cheat search, but I can hack them up in Kega Fusion just fine. I loaded up the Japanese version, and it actually has a tune in the Sega logo that's in PWM. I'm gonna go back and rip the US Credits tune, then go back into the Japanese version and get the missing tracks there. To anyone else wanting to get the credits easily, here's a cheat code.

Races last only 1-Lap, usually ending in 1st place to boot!
FF902C:0004
FF902E:0004
(In Japan version this cheat is even more effective, as most times all you need to do is touch the starting line and you'll win!)

And there ya go. I discovered yet another SEGA Logo tune after beating the Japan version, so I logged it as well. Enjoy!

Also, it might need some optimization from someone that knows how to do that. The tools I have really don't do much for 32X rips.

You can use optvgm for songs that use the YM2612 DAC (like the Credits themes, which don't use the PWM at all).
The SEGA logos are entirely played by the PWM chip. I didn't release any tool to optimize them, sorry.

Anyway, I optimized all songs and trimmed a little silence from the beginning of the Credits tunes.

I've been kinda lazy with these, and I still have loads of sets to upload here, but it's moot until they get reflected on the main site.

If only it were as active here as it is at VGM.MDScene. ; )

Do you think it would be a wise idea to merga pj2612 and MDscene together?

I kinda like the way the download section is set up here, but I can't find a VGM section for Mega Drive vgms over on MDscene. :/

You won't find any MegaDrive VGMs on vgmrips (MDScene is just our host, not the name of the site), because it is for all packs that don't fit on SMSPower and Project2612.

The only MegaDrive VGMs you'll find are Homebrew ones. (and there is a quite nice bunch of these)

Then how would we breathe more life into these forums? I mean, it just seems like there's a few different forums for sega-related stuff. It appears as though it's a hassle to keep three different sites afloat rather than consolidate them.

Just wondering about any alternative solution. :/

The one thing I wish Project2612 had at this very moment is activity! it's such a pet peeve to see all these updates see here and not on the front page. xD

Help me with vgmrips and the chances for updates will increase. :P

Once I'm less busy with vgmrips (and all the other projects I have running), I'll what I can do about P2612.
