Torrent does not work

Postby dzidzitop » Thu Sep 23, 2010 1:22 pm

503 error is returned to the torrent client I use. This problem is in force since the beginning of the year at least

I plan to fix this, but I can't seem to get ahold of any of the staff to get approval.

If I can stop being lazy, I'll put a torrent tracker back up. Promise.

In the meantime would anyone mind if I just uploaded it to another tracker and linked to it here? I have the full collection saved (in alphabetical folders) and have made many torrents before. I could also delete it if the tracker here is re-upped at some point.

Though I can see some merit in not having a torrent up, since this way people are encouraged to keep coming back. These forums seem a bit slow going at the moment, for example.

There isn't much traffic on the forums, obviously. People are more interested in the sets than the forums. :p

As for the torrent... hmm. I'd have to see how it's organized. I still got the torrent structure organized in a certain way, complete with a little "hack" we did that only directly benefits folks on WinXP systems... which, while still potent, is a bit dwindling.

The good news is I'm about to hit my long weekend, so maybe - MAYBE - I will look into this, this weekend. Depends on how bad Mass Effect has me gripped. (I just got it over the Christmas Holiday, and due to a bunch of factors, only recently have been able to get some good gaming time lately.)

I just started grabbing it off TPB. 7z is pretty annoying and I'm connected to one peer out of three, but hey it's free.

Adding these trackers seems to have helped:

I'm working on a new torrent at the moment, but first, sleep. Stay posted in here, foodeater.
