I use discord every day, and it's so hard sometimes to keep track of responses or forgetting to respond back because I didn't log into some obscure website. Discord is always there, right by my side.

Discord is a chat and while more compelling for some things, I'd rather not have important content spread over a several thousand messages window, even with a search function and the possibility of pinning messages and make separate chat rooms.
I do like the organization factor of forums better, especially considering that it can hang around and be easily indexed. You have to scroll through countless Discord messages to find stuff that sometimes can only be a few weeks ago in a lot of cases.
I think it's useful for quick communication. Like now. I could have responded to any of these statements the whole time I've been at work today had they been on discord, but rather, I have to wait until I get home, log in, then format and break the responses, blah blah blah. You get it. I think Discord would be good to hash quick ideas out on, or pop in and say, "Hey, there's a pack I've been wanting to look at etc. or maybe X or Y could check it out and tell me if <whatever> looks right. I find that the forums are better for new packs and releases, and for new members to join and peruse through a bit. Gives a good sense of homeliness, in my opinion. Anything formal can be posted to the forums, but I find that the delays between having to sign in, post, and wait until someone is on (or if they even get on at all), can be a big old pain.

There's been some issues where direct URLs are just being completely nixed on here, and it's happened in the last two years. I'm not sure who really maintains the site anymore in terms of coding, but that definitely needs to be fixed. I don't even know if the HSS function on the main page is even usable still. This website is like, pre-web 2.0 at this point.
I don't know much about Tapatalk, but what I did for emergencies is made it so DMs are sent straight to my email. It's just that when tiny bits of info here and there are needed with so few people being a part of this forum, it really makes things hard to keep in touch quickly.
Thoughts?
