Decided to make an updated post of a response that I received from freezedream himself.
Initial Inquiry wrote:I help operate project2612.org. We are a music archival project, exclusively hosting music released on the Sega Mega Drive, 32X, and Sega CD. We host all logged and properly organized work on our website (although I handle organization in the forums mostly.)
<some information removed>we were hoping we could get in contact with the developers of the game (and of course you), to see about possibly providing/contributing unreleased or beta versions of tracks that might not make it to the official ROM dump from the game (when it's released.)
If that's something we'd need to get in contact with the game creators about, please don't hesitate to point us in the right direction!

At this stage I'm not sure if there'll be any unreleased or beta versions of tracks that don't make it into the official ROM dump, but there quite possibly will be. OK, having said that I did make a previous title theme that I've replaced so there's at least one track so far.
I think if the music is unused in the game then it won't officially be part of the soundtrack so it will be up to me what I do with it. I'll mention it to Matt, the game's creator anyway but I'm sure he'll be fine with it.
