I frequently use the pc for listening to the YM2612. However, since I have a little bit of space left on my iPod, I was thinking of transferring some of the best soundtracks over to it.

I normally use winamp to listen to tunes, with a few of my favs transferred to my ipod (I recommend it) rarely do i use a Mega Drive unless I actually want to play the game too.

I listen on the PC because I'm too busy playing the game if I'm using the Mega Drive/Genesis to pay much attention to the music.

How can you listen to them on an iPod? Does iPod use plugins?

No, all you gotta do is convert them into MP3s (I use a winamp plugin) then put the MP3 directly into itunes

I'm currently working on adding support for Winamp's native transcoders to in_vgm - if I can get some time to work on it, it'll allow VGMs to benefit from Winamp's Replay Gain support and also do on-the-fly transcoding onto iPods, for example.

i prefer to play them using Winamp and the In_VGM plugin. I don't have a Megadrive anymore to listen :( But, its better to have an entire collection on the computer anyway.

I prefer listening in this method to using MP3's for example, since I may sound mad... but I prefer knowing that the computers decoding the file in the natural way it was made, rather than just music data like an MP3.
I guess thats why I like other kinds of MOD, like IT, XM, S3M, MOD, etc.

I wonder if they'll ever be a tracker that'll play VGM/VGZ files so you can see exactly how it was put together?...

Amen, Stimmo! Why, I myself have a playlist with 45k+ files, mostly SPC's but the PJ2612 Torrent's on the playlist as well! :)
