Most accurate VGM playback ever...

Talk about anything and everything about Sega's 16 Bit console and its addons here - hardware, games, memories. You name it.

Okay, can we make some request for complete recordings? :)

I would love this, but no rush, just when the time is right.

If my upstream would not suck as much, I could happily do recordings...
Recording of the Konami music coming real soon (flashcart is flashing...).

Chya, that's why I opted to take a walk down the street to the local (awesome, they have everything) game store. Luckily they had an HD. I think it works.... going home to test.

I really want to do this to mine. I also have two inherently crappy Model 2's laying around at home, so modding at least one of those would be really fun.

Here's the rub: I don't know how to solder, don't have the tools and supplies, and don't know much about electronics (resistors RESIST! YAY!...) Applying circuit diagrams is confusing, to say the least. But it would be extremely fun, educational, and immensely rewarding.

Finally I did the recording, using my audio modded MD2 and the super great VGM player.
Starts with Konami logo music, then Battle Mania 2 - Blue sky laundry, Devilish - Stage 7, Ristar - Ring Rink, Puggsy - If looks could kill. I think its the correct order....

enjoy :)

Do whatever you like! I just listened to the sound of my HD Model 1 for the first time, and it is far better than Model 2 (unmodded.) I want to attempt your CCAM someday.

"Good Job, Headdy" from Dynamite Headdy. The PCM at the end has an odd pitch on most players, but it seems to be fixed in the newest Regen.

This is really interesting. I would be very interested to hear how some songs will sound with your encoding.

These songs for example:

Landstalker - Torch
Golden Axe II - Boss Theme II
Forgotten Worlds - Final Boss
