Indeed, I loved the Folins, especially for their work on Plok, Solstice, and Equinox.

So much so that when Tim Follin announced he retired earlier this year, I sent him an email offering my well-wishes.

The Sonic series-without doubt the most played games on my megadrive.

Streets of rage 2-! loved throwing bdaguys(usually a galsia or donovan) into crowds of others, back and forth.Great times!

Thunder force 4-great graphics,AMAZING music, and the gameplay was friggin intense. the sound the ship made when exploding, simply badass used to make me jump "DUSHH!!!!"

Shinobi 3- he was a ninja, thats about it not much else was needed.Revenge of shinobi was ok but you didnt really feel ninja like, but 3 made u a ninja right there in your seat!

and am going to add quackshot because the music for the viking ship stage stuck with me for years even though i didnt have the game(traded it with a cousin for sonic 3 and kid chameleon,OWNED).

those games listed are what pretty much made me a fan of video game music.

Sonic 2 & Knuckles - climax of the series imo, both in design and music. Exploring the levels with Knuckles is pretty fun too.. kinda wish they'd skipped most of no. 3 and put the best levels into S&K instead.

Shining Force 2 - I really like the battle system and the challenge level.

Ecco – Tides of time - frustrating, but the atmosphere pulls me right in and the music is excellent.

Panorama Cotton - the only shooter that's blown me away completely. :O

Micro Machines 2 - probably the most fun I've had in a mega drive multiplayer game, but games like general chaos, bomberman and toejam & earl 1-2 are pretty close.

Would've loved to do a top 5 for soundtracks as well, but there's just so much I haven't really listened to so it'll have to wait. Probably for a few months.

In no particular order, my favorite Genesis games are:

-- DJ Boy (For the sheer hilarity factor...)
-- Snow Bros. (BETTER than the arcade version + extra levels!)
-- Golden Axe II (Those guys with the claws were always my favorite enemy.)
-- Shining Force II (Great graphics, great music + great gameplay.)
-- Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Two-player mode is, like, POWER EXTREME!)

Of course, Beggar Prince too, but since my company produced + released it, that's cheating a bit...

My favourite Genesis games are...

Battletoads - I think the humour in this game just grew on me, it's not every day you get to control a toad on a surfboard :D

Dick Tracy - IMO the music goes quite well with the theme of the game, I also like the unique way you have to shoot enemies on both sides of the street.

Mercs - A good old classic shooter, this would be a lot better if it had 2P support.

Spiderman vs Kingpin - Still can't beat the last level! grrrr (is there a VGM rip for this yet? - the music sounds different when compared with Gens32 and Kega, possibly others)

Toejam and Earl - Played this one when I was 4 or something...those hula-hula girls!

The Sonic games - A prerequisite for any Genesis gamer, a milestone in the history of gaming, not to mention the sweet soundtrack. (But you knew that already ;))

Batman - Not sure why I like this one, completed it multiple times but it just appeals to me nevertheless. All the other Batman games on Genesis suck IMO.

Shinobi games - I got overexcited when I discovered the unlimited shuriken cheat...lol
I like Yuzo Koshiro's music in general, I knew he did the music for Streets of Rage straight away, just the look about the game too.

Well erm, that's about it. ^^
