I've been screwing around in Contact; reminds me of the SaGa games, which are not for anyone but people like me, it seems. Also, I'm going to start messing around in Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad later tonight.

I picked up NWN 2 when it first came out and my initial reaction was negative. They reworked the interface to play more like WoW and some of the other "over the shoulder" 3rd person RPGs. After putting in some effort with the options menu, I got it to play almost exactly like the original, and from that point on I enjoyed the game.

The single player campaign is good, with characters that I really enjoyed, and a storyline that I didn't dislike.

The options for character development are excellent. There are many choices for race, class, prestige class, feats etc.

There are some improvements over there original that I really appreciated:

Parry now works much better, and remains useful throughout the character's life;
The damage bonus for power attack is now doubled if you're holding a weapon in both hands;
Weapons normally held in one hand, that are not light enough to be used with "weapon finesse", are now held in both hands when not useing a shield.

There are also some changes that I was disappointed with:

Counterspelling has been removed completely;
Haste no longer allows a character to cast twice in a single round;
No options for altering the appearance of your armor, weapons, helm, or shield are currently available.

I've not yet tried NWN 2 multiplayer, so I can't really comment on that.

Overall, I'd say it's well worth the purchase price.

Recently I just polished off Gunstar Super Heroes for GBA.

Right now I'm giving Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga a run-through on my DS Lite. (as I don't have a GBA.) I'll probably begin tackling Brothers in Time after that.

And hopefully by then I'll have GTA: Chinatown Wars and Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume. :p

(Most of my new gaming is GBA or DS.)

While my system was down and I was steadily recreating it, I've been doing alot of gaming. I've been playing some EDF and Left 4 Dead for kicks, as well as playing Mass Effect and the Ace Attorney games when i actually feel like concentrating on something.

I finally managed to whip the shadow boss in Order of Ecclesia. That was a tough nut to crack. Now that he's out of the way, I'm back to enjoying that game immensely.

I'm still working through Disgaea, though I've spent most of my time in the item world upgrading my mages to the point where they kill most enemies they cross in one blast. The story remains engaging and funny which is very nice.

I picked up Geometry Wars on a whim, and I've been really enjoying the manic schmup action.

On the PC side I've picked up X3 Terran Conflict and I'm totally engrossed. The space combat continues to be the best I've experienced since Freespace 2, and the general improvements over X3 Reunion have proven well worth the upgrade.

I've been playing Terranigma and remembering how fun the game was the first time I played it. Also, I've been troopering through Phantasy Star and finding it much less hateworthy than the last time I played years ago. Lastly, I'm on the last Phoenix Wright game before I hit Apollo Justice. That series is many good times.

Grand Theft Auto IV is my latest venture. I got it running with sickening, nearly maxed out detail at 2048x1152.

Some screenshots to drool and/or laugh over:
